As a housebuilder, if people aren’t unsubscribing from your emails then you’re not emailing them often enough! And I will die on this hill!!
A business I’m invested into has made 4 sales so far today each worth circa £400p/y as a direct result of an email to its database (and likely more to come, with most sales typically happening in the evening!). These are people who had been sitting in the database, yet to convert.
I’m still flabbergasted when I hear that housebuilders who spend a ton on advertising to generate leads, either don’t have a database or don’t actively market to their database.
I’ve seen firsthand, how emails sent to a housebuilder database have directly led to a purchase – and to people that sales execs had written off.
If you do nothing else, PLEASE, just send automated emails and regular email campaigns to your database.
Within your database are people who have registered with you because they found your product or service of interest. So don’t just contact them a couple of times then leave them to sit dormant, keep pushing.
– Different messages
– Different products/developments
– Different promotions
Just keep going, regularly – until they either buy or unsubscribe.
And once they’re a customer, don’t just forget about them, segment them and send them different messages!
